Feria del Libro de Málaga (Malaga Book Fair)
For more than half a century, the Feria del Libro de Málaga (Malaga Book Fair) has been a staple for book enthusiasts.
The Paseo del Parque—among other locations, depending on the edition—plays host to this book fair every year.
With casetas (stalls) representing the city’s major bookshops, publishing houses and boutiques, this fair offers a diverse selection of literature for all tastes, with shelves overflowing with treasures waiting to be discovered.
From beloved classics to contemporary gems, readers will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of titles that reflect the depth and diversity of Spanish literary heritage (some knowledge of the language is required!)
Meet local authors
One of the event’s key features is its emphasis on local talent. Throughout the festival, attendees will have the chance to engage with and support local authors through signings, talks and discussions.
This spotlight on homegrown literary voices not only celebrates the city’s cultural identity but also provides a platform for emerging writers to share their stories with the community.
Themed discussions take place, too, ensuring there’s always something exciting happening throughout the festival.
Family fun
For families, the Pequeteca area of the park is where you need to be.
Here, storytelling sessions, singalongs and interactive workshops for children offer a chance to spark imaginations and foster a love for reading from a young age.
Feria del Libro de Málaga 2024
This year’s edition, running from Friday 26 April to Sunday 5 May, promises another ten days of literary immersion and cultural celebration.
